If it comes to my hands, what a delicious meal it can become”, but the Cock never came to the fox.
One day the fox came up with an idea to catch the Cock. He went to the tree where the cock used to live and said, “Oh brother! Did you get the good news? The king of the jungle and our elders have together decided to end all the fighting. From today no animal will harm any other animal. Come down. Let us hug and congratulate each other.”
Hearing this from the fox, the Cock looked at him with a smile and said, “Oh wow! This is very good news. Look back, maybe that’s why we have more friends coming to visit us.”
The fox asked in surprise, “Friend? Whose friend?” The Cock said, “Hey, those hunting dogs, they are also our friends now, aren’t they?” On hearing the name of the hunting dogs, the fox did not look at it and ran in the opposite direction of their arrival.
The Cock laughed and said to the fox, “Hey brother! Where are you going? We’re all friends now, aren’t we?” “Yes, we are but maybe the hunting dogs have not received this news yet”, saying that the fox ran away and it was because of the Cock’s intelligence that his life was saved.
