The Dove and The Bee|Aesop’s Fable
We should never leave anyone alone in trouble. The story of ‘The Dove and The Bee’ also teaches us the same thing. Let us read how the favour done by a Dove is returned to him…
Once upon a time, In a forest, there was a dove who lived on a tree near the bank of a river. One day in the same forest, a bee was also passing from somewhere that suddenly fell into the river. The wings of the bee were soaked with water. The bee tried a lot to get out of the water but she could not.
When the bee felt that she would no longer be able to escape, she started crying for help. At that time, Dove was sitting on a nearby tree. Its eyes fell on the bee that was drowning in the river. The dove immediately went to the bee and thought of an idea to save the bee. The dove caught a broadleaf in its beak and dropped it into the river. As soon as the leaf was found, the bee sat on it. Within no time, the bee’s wings had dried up and the bee was now ready to fly. Thus, the dove saved the life of that bee. The bee thanked the dove for saving its life and flew away.
Many days had passed since this. One day the same dove was sleeping in a deep sleep and then a Cruel Hunter stood aiming at the dove. At the same time, the bee was passing by, whose eyes fell on the hunter. This was the same bee whose dove saved the life. Seeing the situation, the bee immediately stung the hunter’s hand, due to which he missed his target. In no time, Dove woke up and flew away from there. Dove understands the whole matter. The Dove thanked the bee for this act. Thus the bee paid the debt of the dove’s favour.
