Don’t Wait for The Brick | Moral Story
In this age of today, man has become so busy that he does not have any feeling of anyone’s suffering, but sometimes God has to resort to someone to get such busy people to realize their real responsibility …. As it happened in this story- “Don’t Wait for The Brick”
SCENE – 1
Once upon a time, a very rich man was going to his office in his new Jaguar car. He was moving slowly and watching the children in the street of the neighbourhood passing by parking lots.
For a moment the businessman felt that he had seen something, he told the driver to slow down the car. Suddenly a brick hit his jaguar.
The driver turned his car on the side from which the brick had come. The angry driver grabbed the child standing near the car and pushed it towards the parked car.
The driver of the car shouted loudly at the child and asked, “Who are you and what is this? This is a new car and why did you throw a brick on it? Do you know how much it will cost? You will have to pay for it.” The little child was apologetic. He had tears in his eyes.
He said, “Sir! Forgive me, I could not understand what to do.”
“I threw the brick away because no one would stop the car if it didn’t.” Tears were rolling from the child’s eyes and reached his chin. He pointed with a finger at some distance from the car and said, “Sir, he is my brother. He has fallen from his wheelchair. I cannot pick him up because I am younger than him. Please help me so that I can take him home.”
SCENE-2
The rich young man was listening to all these things in the car.
He came out of the car and shook hands on the child’s head and said, “Where is your brother? Let me go there, I will help you.”
The child went to the rich man where his brother had fallen. The rich man picked up his brother and put him back in the wheelchair. He took a handkerchief out of his pocket and placed it on his brother’s bruises. The young man looked at the small child as if saying that everything was fine now.
The child thanked the rich young man and said that he had nothing more to say than this. These things touched the heart of a rich person. The small child took his brother slowly towards home. After some time, when the rich young man turned towards the car, he saw that the damage on the car was very high and very noticeable.
Despite the damage, the young rich boy did not think about repairing the car. He had kept that dent to remember the message that In life never move so fast that you have to throw a brick to attract someone’s attention.
What is the Moral of ‘Don’t Wait for the Brick’ Story
We should always be ready to help others at any time, no matter how rich or big a person we may be. It should not be so that God has to resort to brick to make us realize this responsibility.

- As we know how busy our life is these days. In this busy life, we should not only be lost in our life but should also look around us. Maybe someone needs us and is waiting for us.
- We should keep our nature kind and friendly. Always be ready to help others. The help given by us reaches back to us in some form or the other.
- We often see beggars begging on the road-sides, there are many of us who ignore them and move towards their work, but, there are some of us who also helps those poor people.
